Metals Batman Vs Superman 1:24 Bat-mobile Model Kit
This is my new addition to the scaled model collection. This was a pleasant surprise, as I bought it on www.amazon.com, ($19.95) and despite of not seeing it in person, it turned out to be an amazing buy. The quality is very good.
The kit comes with these components and you can assemble it in 10 minutes.
The Metal body shell is amazing and the texture is super fine matt. Its dark grey and has nice groves running around the surface. It is pretty heavy. The wheels dont roll that smoothly, but thats ok, as its not ment to be rolled around. Its a collectible.
Have a look at the space I utilized to showcase the stuff that I have selected over the years.
I got the acrylic modules custom made from a workshop. I use then in such a way that you can create cavities of various sizes and shapes by staking them in several different ways.
Custom made shelves The shelves that I made helps me to utilize the entire height of the display unit. Otherwise once you display stuff on the floor, the space above goes waste. That is the main reason I got the shelves done.
I wanted to challenge myself to see what I can produce with the limited knowledge, equipment I have. The intention was to create Music in your back yard. As I mentioned that I composed my 1st song in 1994 which was for an inter college orchestra competition, and I did a fairly good job. Since then whenever I got some time I kept on composing songs, tunes, jingles etc. Not very frequently though, as I was still studying. Soon the songs started accumulating one by one, although very less in number. I used very primitive keyboards/recording equipment back then.
In 2012, I found an amazing tool (a software) which opened a whole new world of programming and sequencing music. I could use PC to create my music in a much more elaborate way. I was learning music and parallel was learning technology. This tool made me think that I could re-arrange all my previous songs and kind of re master them. I fetched all those audio cassettes, which had my old recordings from my college days and started to re-create that music using this new tool..
This tool gave me the flexibility that I was looking for, a non-linear way of creating patterns and putting it together to create a song. I was managing my 9 to 6 job/my family/ and other commitments on one side and on the other, would step by step build a song as an when I got an hour here or a few minutes there. That’s the reason it took me 4 years to re-master 15 of my best creations out of the whole bunch. There used to be absolutely no activity for months together due to work pressure or some family matters. But I was hell bent on the fact that I had to complete this project. Piece by piece (and I literally mean that) bit by bit I put this together and am really happy to present it to you.
At times you would feel that the sound/style is old school, in fact it is. Coz this album is a journey of my composing skills growing gradually from 1994 till 2016. I haven’t changed any arrangement just re-mastered and re-arranged it using better sound samples.
The very fact that I can create an above average music deliverable on a single laptop was a good enough kick to get my work started in 2012.
Its a short ride to office every day that I look forward to. As the mostly is through the high way where I really enjoy the speed, the wind and the power. Duke 390 is not the greatest ride but its the most powerful bike you can get in that price segment in India. No other brand will give you a 44 bhp engine with 390CC power in 2 lakh.
Last year I got a Xiaomi sports camera for $80 and a whole bunch of accessories in just $35. Its been a year since I tried it on my helmet. Have a look at the video that I recorded using the Yi Cam.

Slice of UX (Story behind the scene)
We always like to share success stories. How a particular project was executed successfully and how the team was appreciated. There is abundance of such case studies. The case study I am presenting is more like sharing a story about a UX project that was well executed for the outside world, but what happened behind the scene to make it a success is very interesting. Its got nothing to do with any sort of technology trends or best practices on the SDLC process. It’s about how a particular situation was handled, how people were handled, how expectations were managed, how internal conflicts were mitigated, the kind of mistakes that happened, how delivery and excellence teams impact the overall project, how subjectivity plays a role in the entire engagement. How does one adapt to a totally unknown and un-chartered situation?
I will also be sharing an analogy called as "The Perpetual design". It explains in a very visual & easy way “How every stake holder (project teams, business, and technology teams) can be convinced about the practicalities of a project.
Video of the session, initially there is no sound for 13 minutes or so.
Few pictures from the session at IDEAS at Baner Pune
Finally got all the 3 beasts that I had seen on a wall paper a few years back. I wanted to have the scaled models of these 3 cars. Ford Mustang, Dodge Charger, and Chevy Camero. Look at the wall paper and then the picture of my scaled model collection.
